Terms of Service

CommunityLoop connects three groups. Businesses pledge a donation to a local nonprofit, school, church, or other organization for each qualifying customer visit. Supporters show a rotating check-in code when they visit, and the business scans it. Organizations receive the funds those check-ins generate, and can also accept direct donations from supporters.

We provide the software that records check-ins, tracks campaign budgets, and processes payments. We are not a charity, and we don't decide which organizations deserve support — businesses choose who they fund, and supporters choose where to shop and give.

• You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. You're responsible for activity on your account, so keep your password to yourself.
• One person, one supporter account. Creating extra accounts to generate extra check-ins isn't allowed.
• Businesses, organizations, and campaigns are reviewed before they go live. We may decline or remove any of them at our discretion.

• A check-in counts once per supporter, per campaign, per day (in the business's local time zone).
• Check-in codes rotate and expire within minutes. Sharing, reselling, or automating codes, or checking in without a genuine visit, is prohibited, and we may void check-ins and suspend accounts involved.
• A campaign stops accepting check-ins once its budget is used up. A business never owes more than the budget it set.
• Checking in is not a donation by you.The business funds the donation, so the business is the donor of record. Supporters don't receive a tax receipt for check-ins.

• Subscription. Businesses pay a monthly platform fee for the plan they choose (see Pricing). New subscribers get a 14-day free trial, once per business. After the trial, the card on file is charged monthly until you cancel.
• Cancelling.You can cancel any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't refund partial months.
• Loop Coins.Loop Coins are prepaid donation credit a business buys to fund its campaigns. Any fees are shown before you pay and itemized on your receipt. Loop Coins aren't currency, have no cash value outside CommunityLoop, and can only fund donations to organizations on the platform. Unused balances don't expire. If you'd like an unused balance returned, contact us — we don't currently offer automatic refunds.
• You're responsible for honoring the campaigns you publish and for describing them accurately to your customers.

• You must be a legitimate organization, provide a valid EIN, and be authorized to accept donations on its behalf.
• Payments to organizations are processed by Stripe. To receive funds you must complete Stripe's onboarding, and you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement. You authorize us to share information about you and your transactions with Stripe.
• You're responsible for issuing any acknowledgments your donors are entitled to, and for your own tax and reporting obligations.
• If a donation you received is refunded or successfully disputed, we may reverse the corresponding transfer to your Stripe account.

• Supporters can donate directly to an organization, once or monthly. For these gifts, you are the donor of record, and we email you a receipt showing the organization's name and EIN.
• Whether a gift is tax-deductible depends on the organization's status and your own situation. We don't give tax advice.
• Monthly donations continue until you cancel them from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month.
• Donations are generally non-refundable once made. If you believe a donation was made in error or without your authorization, contact us within 30 days and we'll work with the organization to resolve it.

All payments are processed by Stripe. We don't store full card numbers. By paying, you authorize the charge and any recurring charges you've signed up for. Prices are in US dollars.

Don't use CommunityLoop to:

• generate fraudulent check-ins, or launder or misdirect funds;
• misrepresent a business, organization, or cause;
• break the law, or infringe anyone else's rights;
• interfere with, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, or access accounts that aren't yours.

You keep ownership of what you upload — logos, campaign descriptions, and images. You give us permission to display it on CommunityLoop to operate and promote your campaigns and profile. Only upload content you have the right to use.

You can stop using CommunityLoop at any time; to delete your account, email us. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users at risk. Cancelling doesn't undo check-ins or payments that already happened.

CommunityLoop is provided “as is”. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don't vouch for any business or organization on the platform. To the fullest extent the law allows, Community Loop LLCisn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it.

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use CommunityLoop after that means you accept the new terms.
